The world-class venue, Mall of Asia Arena finally holds its Grand Launch last June 16, 2012 in a music event called "ICONS at the MALL OF ASIA ARENA."June 16 is truly historical not only because of the grand launch but also some of the biggest names in the Philippine Music Industry performed in one roof for a night.
Christian Bautista and The Company performed the legendary music of Mr. Jose Mari Chan. I really admire JMC because of his heart-melting songs.Rachel Alejandro, Dulce & Vernie Varga belted Louie Ocampo's songs. Freddie Aguilar performed his phenomenal song "ANAK" which is heard in 56 countries in 26 languages.Next in line's the most applauded & cheered numbers by Richard Poon, Juris Fernandez, Piolo Pascual & of course "The Voice", Jed Madela, who sang the songs of the singer-songwriter, Ogie Alcasid. This may sound bias but I think Jed Madela's performance last night's the best among the Icons.
