Kimmy Dora and the Temple of Kiyeme

Kimmy Dora and the Temple of Kiyeme, which opened in cinemas last June 13, is the sequel to the 2009 film Kimmy Dora: Kambal sa Kiyeme. Eugene Domingo, who recently won the People's Choice Award for Best Actress at the 6th Asian Film Awards, played the dual roles of Kimmy and Dora Go Dong Hae.

Uge really did a great job in this film. Her switching from one personality to another is amazing. She also holds the record of being the first lead actress in Philippine cinema to star in several films-- seven to be exact-- in a single year. 2012 is definitely her year!

The film's comedy-horror genre is very typical to writer Chris Martinez with the very professional direction by Bb. Joyce Bernal. We, Filipinos, love to watch comedy movies to forget the stress and all the negativities around us. I'm sure this sequel of Kimmy Dora will be a big hit. I enjoyed the movie and for me, Kimmy Dora movies are the best local comedy film the PH has produced.

The film revolves around the love story of Kimmy and Dora's dad, Don Luisito Go Dong Hae (played brilliantly by THE Ariel Ureta) and how Don Luisito met the twin's mom. Don Luisito's dad had arranged his son's marriage to a Korean lady named Sang Kang Kang played by Alodia Gosiengfiao. Don Luisito refused to marry Sang Kang Kang and instead, chose to marry the twin's mother as his wife, which he met in the Philippines as his tutor in the university played by Kiray Celis.

In the present, the twins found themselves haunted by an unexpected and IMPORTED ghost not knowing that this ghost was the ruthless spirit of Sang Kang Kang who was their father's long-lost sweetheart. Sang Kang Kang. Expect hilarious moments and memorable punchlines as the twins journey Korea to pay respect to their ancestors and to find way to pacify the vengeful ghost. Laugh at how the ever loyal Jertrude survived the bitchy Kimmy.  Also worth noting are the supporting characters like Elena (Papa Ps famous assistant), Lolo, Mikk, and leading men, Barry and Johnson.

Need I say more? So guys, this weekend, be sure to wathc Kimmy Dora and you will agree that indeed Eugene Domingo is the best.
